To have your Written Permit Test Waived

Complete the state required instruction (10 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of your behind the wheel instruction).

Requirements for your Learner Permit

Must be 15½ years of age or older. Once you have your learner permit, you must hold it for six months before you test for your license (or you must hold your permit for 30 days if you are 18 years old or older).

Must show the following when you get your permit from DPS:

  Your CONTRACT from our driving school;

  One primary ID. See §1-1 of Oklahoma Driver Manual. The most common choices are an original Birth Certificate or a valid Passport;
  One secondary ID (see §1-2 of Oklahoma Driver Manual. The most common choice is a Social Security Card;
  Even if you don’t use your Social Security Card as a secondary ID, you must know your Social Security Number when at DPS;

Parent or legal guardian must accompany the applicant to DPS to sign authorization forms. This is you giving your student permission to pursue his or her license and you giving the state permission to take your child’s finger prints. Note: A Parent or Legal Guardian may complete this PARENT AUTHORIZATION TO OBTAIN DRIVER LICENSE and complete it in front of a Notary. This allows someone else to take your student to DPS on your behalf to process the Permit application.

The Tag Agency will collect a $42.50 license fee

Restrictions on OK Learner Permit

Permit holders must have a licensed driver age 21 or over (with at least 2 years driving experience) in the front seat for a minimum of 50 hours of behind the wheel driving (10 of those hours at night and 10 of those on the highway) before they are eligible to take the State Road Test. Note: If a permit holder is at fault in an accident or receives a moving violation, the six month probation period starts over from the date of the violation. Additionally, permit holders are only allowed to drive between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

First day of Driver Education class

The first hour of the first day of class is our “parents” meeting. It is required for parents or legal guardians of under 18 year old students to attend; call the office if you have questions at (405) 948-7000. We use this time to review the  contract and financial terms, and we answer all of your questions. We recommend you review our FAQ page. Additionally, bring $10 cash for lunch or bring your own lunch (soda is provided with lunch). Water is free.

You do not need any ID documents to come to class.

Bring your payment if you didn’t pay online

Payment is to be made in full at the conclusion of the parent meeting. If you enrolled in one of the 90 Days Same as Cash options you will pay your initial payment at the conclusion of the Parent Meeting.
Students may not schedule Behind-The-Wheel instruction if the appropriate paperwork is not signed by Student (and Parent if under 18) and payment made.

Behind-The-Wheel Lessons (2 Hour Drives)

The student is required to have a copy of the contract, or a clear picture of it on their phone, to drive legally with our instructors.

This is a State Law Concerning Driving Schools

Failure for the student to have a copy of their contact to show our instructor at the start of their scheduled drive requires us to collect a $10 Contract Re-Issuance Fee or a $50 late cancellation fee.

Driver License Test Day

To test with us on test day, you will need:

Valid OK permit

Driver education Certificate of Completion (if under 16½)

Parent or legal guardian must accompany the applicant to DPS to sign authorization forms. When testing with us, you will be able to go directly to the Tag Agency to receive your Driver License.

How does it work?

Behind the Wheel with ADHD

Sign up for any of our driver education packages, make sure to select “pay later” on the student information screen

On or before the first day of class you may pay

$195 or more if you are purchasing up to $395 in driver education services

OR $395 or more if you are purchasing driver education services between $396 and $795

OR $595 if you are purchasing driver education services over $796.

All products are purchased on a no refund policy.

No changes in driver education package selection beyond 14 days from the first day of class.

How is the remaining balance paid?

You have 90 days to pay your account in full.

For the State Minimum package

Pay $195 on the first day of class

For behind the wheel drives one and two, you will pay half the remaining balance

For all other packages (Score Booster, Complete, and Ultimate):

Pay $195 on the first day of class

For drives one, two, and three, pay one third third the remaining balance

You can expect to finish your behind the wheel drives based on which package you choose.

State Minimum: You will finish your drives within 12 months

Score Booster: You will finish your drives within 90 days

Complete: You will finish your drives within 60 days

Ultimate: You will finish your drives within 30 days

What happens if I can’t pay the balance in full within 90 days?

A 10% fee will be applied to any account where the balance has not been paid in full on the 91st day
Day 1 is the first day you (your student) attend class
Certificate of Completion will not be issued unless the account has a zero balance
